WEATHER / NAVIGATION

An ability to recognise weather changes, understand synoptic charts or apply weather information is crucial to successfully planning a venture in your kayak, even a short one. Coupled with that is a need to be able to know where you are at all times, what happens if you get caught in fog, it gets dark, or if you are paddling in unfamiliar areas. Navigation is an essential skill…..in fact it can save your life. We can help you understand the principles of weather and how it effects us, and how to use navigation techniques on your kayak.
