Mirage 580 Sea Kayak
The Mirage 580 is the latest in design from the Mirage factory. It gives the paddler a versatile, stable boat with excellent tracking in all conditions from flat water to tough ocean passages. High cruising speeds can be maintained over an extended period, meaning you get to where you need to be faster and burning less energy.
This kayak can go and has gone virtually anywhere and everywhere and is extremely stable in all conditions.
Many of these craft have travelled thousands of kilometres - including a non-stop straight line Bass Strait crossing by Stuart Truman in 2008. Mirage expeditions in Australia also include 800km from Sydney to the Gold Coast, 1200km from Esperance to Perth, 1150km from Sydney to Hobart as well as a large number of 310km Bass Strait crossings from Victoria to Tasmania.
With its high-volume watertight compartments, the 580 is capable of carrying all the gear you will need for an extended expedition.
